Nowocoat continues its growth journey in 2025

Date: 1. July 2026

Nowocoat Industrial continued its positive development and significantly improved both revenue and profit in 2025 while also strengthening its organisation. Customers’ focus on resource consumption and environmental impact has become an important driving force.

Nowocoat increased its revenue by 16.7 %, while the profit for the year improved to DKK 3.2 million. This is stated in the 2025 Annual Report, which has just been approved.

Nowocoat thus continues the growth journey that began in 2024. Gross profit increased from DKK 40.7 million to DKK 47.5 million, while earnings before depreciation and impairment improved from DKK 7.1 million to DKK 7.8 million. The profit for the year went from a loss of DKK 1.2 million to a profit of DKK 3.2 million.

The strong development is driven by growth across all three customer segments – professional customers, industrial customers, and wholesale/private label for retailers supplied by Nowocoat. The company’s CEO, Kim Johnsen, is also pleased with the annual report and believes the growth is the result of a focused effort over a number of years:

“2025 was a good year for Nowocoat, but it is also the result of a focused effort over the past few years. We have built a strong organisation and implemented structures and processes across the organisation that have strengthened both our sales activities and product development. This means we are able to meet the increasing demands from customers and authorities. In addition, our best-selling NowoCoat Roof Coating received the Nordic Swan Ecolabel in 2025, giving us access to new markets,” says Kim Johnsen.

Customers want to reduce resource consumption and environmental impact

He explains that, in recent years, Nowocoat has experienced growing demand from customers for solutions that are both functional and support more responsible production. As a result, the company has further strengthened its focus on quality, customer collaboration and continuous product development.

“More and more people are also recognising the value of extending the service life of existing materials. Surface treatment is not only about aesthetics – it is also a way to reduce resource consumption and environmental impact while protecting what is valuable. We have also become better at communicating this to the market,” says Kim Johnsen, referring, among other things, to a study by the Danish Technological Institute concluding that roof coating extends the service life of concrete roofs.

Nowocoat’s CFO, Ulrik Damgaard, adds:

“Our DNA is our agility and our ability to continuously adapt to our customers’ needs. That makes a difference – especially for our industrial customers – and we have significantly increased sales in this segment. More generally, we have also strengthened our sales focus and secured additional agreements with major retail chains. Furthermore, we have strengthened our relationships with our suppliers, helping us manage the challenges created by the unstable global situation while continuing to offer competitive prices.”

Focus on ESG

In 2025, Nowocoat also further intensified its ESG efforts, which are now integrated into every aspect of the company – from product development and production to energy consumption and the supply chain.

“It is, of course, essential that we develop coating solutions that protect and improve surfaces, extend their service life and reduce the need for maintenance and replacement. Today, 90 % of our product portfolio consists of solutions with this focus. 83 % of our energy consumption comes from renewable sources, we use 100 % renewable electricity, and we continue to increase the share of recyclable materials in our packaging,” says Ulrik Damgaard.

Nowocoat expects growth to continue across all three customer segments – professional customers, industrial customers and wholesale/private label – and overall expects profit after tax for 2026 to be between DKK 10 and 15 million.
