Achieving certifications like the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel means meeting extremely high demands, not only for the products environmental impact, but also for performance, packaging, raw materials, and even marketing. The process demands solid know-how, coordination across departments, and a relentless focus on sustainability without compromising performance and quality.”
We’re not willing to compromise on quality,” says Jeannette Aagard Hjorth, SHEQ assistant and Lead Coordinator for the certification team at Nowocoat. Our pride in what we do is exactly what ensure that we meet the strict criteria and still deliver top-tier paint. It’s about getting everything to align. That balance is incredibly complex.”
Over the past year, Jeannette and her team with representatives from product Innovation, marketing, purchasing, production, and quality worked tirelessly to make the first-ever Swan-labelled roof paint a reality.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to contribute to a greener future and to offer consumers a high-quality alternative they can truly trust,” Jeannette adds.
The team is also expanding EU Ecolabel licenses for wood paints, adapting flexibly to customer needs across Europe, including private label solutions.
“We stay close to our customers. That dialogue helps us create eco-friendly products that perform. That’s what makes us proud and what drives our success,” Jeannette concludes.
