When engaging in sustainability initiatives and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, it’s crucial to consider your perspective on sustainability. At Nowocoat, we are committed to sustainability from various perspectives. We continuously seek out new initiatives in both our operations and products because we aim to lead in an industry that prioritises awareness of our surroundings.
When it comes to our products, we approach sustainability from 3 angles: The product itself, the process and the application.
Sustainability isn’t solely about the product. It also involves making the customer’s production process more environmentally friendly.
It’s also about products that contribute to a longer lifespan and promote sustainable use. For instance, maintaining a roof through painting to prevent the need for replacement. We make it possible to preserve existing resources while prioritising quality.
The way in which a product is used can significantly decrease energy consumption during the process.
We also scrutinise our own energy usage, continually implementing improvements, making investments, and conducting ESG reporting to lessen our carbon footprint. We regularly set new objectives to ensure our progression towards a more sustainable path.
Certified in the UN Sustainable Development Goals
We were the first company in our industry in Northern Europe to achieve certification in UN SDGs 3, 8 and 12. We selected these goals because we believe we can truly make a difference in both our business operations and our products and solutions. This certification also ensures we meet the stringent requirements set by some of our customers, allowing us to pursue our exciting development.
Global Goal 3
Good health and well-being
We are very aware there may be a perception that our products are associated with hazardous chemicals. Therefore, we have chosen a goal aimed at enhancing health and minimising hazardous labels. This entails a continuous focus on developing and offering sustainable products, differentiating ourselves in the market, and measuring our consumption of hazardous chemicals and emissions.

Decent work and economic growth for all
This goal addresses both our internal operations and our relationships with suppliers. Internally, we set clear expectations and aim for a diverse workforce by actively engaging our employees in company operations. Regarding our subcontractors, we impose specific health and safety requirements and monitor compliance regularly.
Global Goal 12
Responsible consumption and production
Our commitment to sustainability and our capacity to extend the lifespan of buildings through maintenance support responsible consumption. We have also established procedures for the management of chemicals and waste, continuously monitoring adherence to these procedures. We provide training for our employees in chemical and waste handling and report our chemical usage.
How we engage with the Global Goals
Internally, we strive to integrate the goals into our daily operations through ongoing communication and training. We believe that fostering ownership and engagement enables each employee to see how they can contribute to the goals. The more we can positively influence one another through various initiatives, both large and small, the greater our collective awareness will become.
